Manel Esclusa (1952), photographer. At fourteen and in photography began in the laboratory of his father and in 1974 he moved to Arles to make an international photography course with great teachers. In 1975 he became professor at the “Nikon School” and in 1980 the “National Photography Centre” of Barcelona. Founded in 1977 along with Rafael Navarro Garralaga, Joan Fontcuberta and Pere Formiguera Alabern group. His photographic work has been devoted largely to fashion photography but since 1979 has been researching in nighttime conditions, the city at night and aspects in low light levels. One of the exhibits that have toured several countries is Aquariana, though other of its most popular series are Gits, Ahucs, Naus, and Ubs syllepsis nit. His work is in the collections of the National Library of France, Arles Réattu Museum and the National Art Museum of Catalonia.
